We’ve done a bit of blowing our own trumpets at the top of the page by proclaiming our £1,320 profit at Cheltenham - that’s to a £100 stake per point (our max is 4 pts).
Let’s hope there’s more to follow at Aintree and on the Flat, although it’s a good job we pulled back from […]

After much twisting and turning, we’ve decided not to have any account bets today but we will mention a few horses that we were looking at closely.
In the Lincoln (3.55 Doncaster), Cobo Bay is a lively outsider at 50/1 as he goes well fresh and hails from the adept Kevin Ryan stable - perhaps worth a small […]

It’s a mouth-watering line-up of racing action on Saturday and we’re almost certain to get back into betting action, with at least three potential wagers on the cards.
We’ve got our beady eyes on the flat meetings at Doncaster and Dubai (now that’s a pair of differing venues!) and also the jumpers at Lingfield.
There are few things to check out […]

Well, that’s better news isn’t it? State Of Play is heading for the Grand National, according to his trainer, and we’ve got an enticing bet at 25/1 on him.
He’ll be nearer to 12/1 than 20/1 on the day (back him now if you haven’t already) so let’s forget about him until next Saturday and concentrate on the […]

Our Grand National fancy State Of Play took a worrying walk in the Betfair market for the big race on Wednesday - let’s hope it’s ill-informed.
Our 25/1 each-way bet has looked great value as it was slashed down to as low as 14/1 with the bookies but today his odds hovered around 28/1 on the exchange.
The fear has […]

Without A Prayer, our account bet on Saturday, ran moderately when just touched off for fourth place at Lingfield and never looked like landing the Winter Derby.
There were no excuses as the winner came from an even worse draw so we’ll have to wipe our mouth and move on.
Doncaster and Aintree are close and we’ve some confident fancies […]

Our best form man is convinced that Without A Prayer has an excellent chance in today’s Winter Derby (3.05) on Lingfield’s all-weather track.
Confidence is slightly reduced by a poor draw but Ralph Beckett’s charge is worth an each-way 0.25 point account bet on the basis of some good runs in Deauville and Dubai.
Have a bet at 8/1 with […]

Our Grand National tip State Of Play has been cut from 25/1 into 16s, although 20/1 is still available and is absolutely worth taking for an each-way 0.5 point bet (Betfred).
Evan Williams’ inmate will be around about 12/1 on the day so value remains to be had at the current price if you’re not already on - even […]

We’ve had our eye on a runner in the Grand National for some time and, as he is getting sustained support for the race for the second time in a week, it’s time to act.
We are advising a 0.5 points each-way bet on State Of Play at 25/1.
Click here and you’ll get FIVE places and £100 worth […]

Walkon came agonisingly close to landing the 35/1 double for us, as he finished within three-parts of a length of Triumph Hurdle winner Zaynar.
The place part of the e/w double at least brought us a 1.25 point haul, as both Walkon and Mikael D’Haguenet were placed, while another 0.4 points came via our ante-post wager on Alan […]

The final day but, don’t worry, we’ll be continuing our updates here until the end of the Grand National meeting - let’s hope for a brilliant Friday.
1.30 As stated below, if you’re not on the double with Mikael d’Haguenet, get on Walkon today. He looks a certainty to be placed, has the right trainer, the […]
