The Kauto Star versus Denman showdown in the Gold Cup is back on target with positive noises emanating about the latter following his mishap at Newbury at the weekend.
There’s plenty of 7/2 available about Denman while Kauto Star is 4/5 to win his third blue riband.

Denman’s demise in Newbury’s Aon Chase has led to bookmakers cutting Kauto Star to short odds (4/7) for the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
The showdown all racing fans were savouring is suddenly in doubt as Denman didn’t look at his best even before falling - we certainly wouldn’t take 3/1 at this stage.
