We already have our shortlist for the Grand National in mind but our hand has been forced to back one of them, Arbor Supreme, after much recent market support.
Willie Mullins’ inmate bears all the hallmarks of having been laid out for this race for over a year (at least!) and the word from our Irish […]

It’s the return of the Flat today at Doncaster but we’ll almost certainly wait until Aintree is out of the way before starting to invest on the level with updates at Bet On Horses.
Instead, we’ve had a post-Cheltenham break and will start to study for the National meeting from Monday - so watch out for potential […]

AINTREE, HERE WE COME!
We’ll have some ante-post bets here in the next couple of weeks and then we’ll do daily previews at a meeting where we have a great record - so keep checking back.
We can’t promise we’ll be 65 points up again though as that’s a little special!

The moment of truth as Carlito Brigante bids to give us a massive ante-post win in the 4yo championship - if you’re not already on, 9/2 is still great value (e-w at four places).
However we have one big request: all these winners are free BUT you can help us by clicking on the adverts and odds […]

Now this is what you call a proper puzzle …
With 28 runners over 2m1f, this will be fast and furious and a fantastic spectacle with gambles and plots aplenty either coming unstuck or being landed.

We tipped up Shinrock Paddy last week and certainly won’t be turning our back on him now, especially as he’s still available at 9/1 in the betting markets.
Our legendary Irish contact (Sizing Europe, Weapons Amnesty!!) has lumped on him as his meeting nap and our form guru was pretty much in agreement.

Unless there’s a deluge of rain before the race, it’s really difficult to see anything beating the superb Kauto Star.
We definitely wouldn’t put anyone off backing him and will look instead at punting in the market without him.
(As for Denman, the jury is currently out.)

You’re on your own here, people.
We’ll be soaking up the post-Gold Cup atmosphere with a beer in our hand while this race is being run - we just don’t follow the hunter chase scene so we’ll leave it alone.

While a 24-runner handicap hurdle for conditional jockeys might not be our usual betting medium, we think there are a couple of interesting contenders for this prize.
We’re praying that Gordon Elliott has a five-star day (come on, Carlito!) as Meath All Star looks plotted up for this, having just got in on the back of last week’s Wincanton […]

Not a ‘getting-out’ stakes for us after the results of the first three days, so we can have a little each-way interest to see if we can end the meeting with a bang.
Trainer Philip Hobbs has his team bouncing and we’ll follow him here.

Happy, happy days as Buena Vista (25/1 ante-post) and Alberta’s Run added over 35 points profit to lift us to a sensational weekly haul of 69 - that’s £6,900 at £100 per point.
It doesn’t get much better than that - or maybe it does as Carlito Brigante would add nearly 40 points more to the […]
