If we knew Joncol was cherry-ripe for today’s Lexus Chase at Leopardstown, we’d be having an account bet on him at 11/2 but doubts about his fitness put us off investing.

The two Irish cards at Leopardstown and Limerick have been given the go-ahead so finally we’ve got some top-class jumping action to feast on today.
In normal circumstances, we’d be looking to have at least one serious bet but a watching brief may be best.

Great news for racing that AP McCoy has become the Sports Personality of the Year - fully deserved for such a phenomenon.
The weather has halted our punting but we’re preparing for Boxing Day and have a couple of planned bets over the upcoming holiday period.

Marvellous racing today but we’re not investing heavily.
Why? Well, it’s just to difficult to work out which horses are fit after the recent break for snow and therefore we’re guessing - ok for an interest bet but NOT for punting big.
