4.40 Fred Winter Nov Hurdle
This handicap hurdle for four-year-olds was inaugurated in 2005 and was notable in 2007 for providing the first Festival winner for David Pipe, son of legend Martin.
They scored with Gaspara, a 9/2 shot that bucked the trend of the previous two years when 40/1 and 20/1 chances had won, and since then punters have fared better and Sanctuaire was a heavily-backed winner in 2010.
Trends For Winners
- Won last time out - 5/7
- Three previous hurdle runs - 5/7
- Lost first two races over hurdles - 7/7
- Fillies - 3/7
