Two of our three day 1 bets at Aintree hit the target with our nap Walkon powering to victory and Alberta’s Run grabbing a place at 12/1 for an overall daily profit of 4.25 points.

Our dream of a 50/1 Gold Cup winner has been ruined with the news of Notre Pere’s injury and subsequent absence from the Cheltenham Festival.
Jim Dreaper’s inmate was as low as 16/1 in places so our each-way bet from last month looked particularly appetising, especially on softer going.
